Founded over 106 years ago by A.K. Harper, Harper Brush Works has developed a special place in Fairfield’s community. You can still meet people today who will tell you stories of A. K.’s love and generosity toward the community. Harper Brush Works continues that spirit of love and generosity today through many activities.

Among these activities is the Harper Brush Works Charitable Foundation. The Charitable Foundation has donated to many worthy causes in the such as:

  • 2000 Partners for Play Playground Project
  • Fairfield Public Library Campaign
  • Fairfield Education Foundation
  • Lord's Cupboard
  • Holiday Christmas Lighting Program
  • Jefferson County Civic Center
  • Jefferson County Trails Council
  • Various Fairfield Park & Recreation projects
  • Fairfield Concert Association
  • Various public school activities
  • McElhinny House Foundation

Harper Brush Works also works hard for the global community by using lumber from a certified Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) provider in some products. FSC sourced lumber means that the provider has met certain criteria in forest management that ensures the earth will continue to have healthy forests and a healthier environment.

Recycling post consumer waste is another way Harper helps the world. Just check out SKU 470901 in the upright section for an example of how a discarded milk jug or juice bottle can be turned into something new and useful! By recycling plastic Harper is helping extend the life of valuable natural resources and keeping world cleaner!

We hope to have many more years of contributing to our community and environment.
